Adoptable Dogs---Sammi

ARSF has some great dogs available for adoption located in other areas of the Southeast.
Sammi is currently in a foster home in North Carolina. She is a sweet, affectionate 1.5 year old. Her stomach is tacked to prevent gastric torsion. Sammi gets along with cats but should be an only dog. If interested in Sammi please visit our website www.arsf.org and fill out an application.

I just found an old slideshow I created 16 years ago of rescued Akitas from the Akita Adopters Group.  How I remember these dogs, long gone to the bridge.....
You will see so many Akitas....it was a walk down memory lane....

I could not get the programs to work, will keep on trying....

Buddy is one Wonderful Akita

Meet Buddy!  Buddy is a sweet gentle boy, who happens to be blind.  He is young, and his blindness does not affect him at all.  He just uses his other senses.  Buddy walks well on a leash, knows some commands, like car rides.  He is crate trained and has had his stomach tacked to prevent gastric torsion.  He would do well with another dog, properly introduced.  I had the pleasure of meeting Buddy when I was up in Jacksonville to adopt Chanda.  How I wished I could have taken the two of them home with me!  He is an absolute love bug...
