ARSF Adoptable Pet of the Week...24 February 2014
This 7 year old Akita mix would be wonderful in a home with an active
lifestyle. She loves excitement and is quick to pick up on games and
tricks. Very loving and attentive, Lizzy would need a review of basic
obedience to reach her potential. Probably would do better as an only
pet. She aspires to have her own reality show someday!

are no longer able to keep him. He is in search of a family life where
he can hang out, go for walks, play, and snuggle. He is affectionate,

Updating!
Seems like I have absolutely forgotten this blog all together. So much has happened since my last post. My beloved Tiko passed away, January 2013. He was 12 years old and though his mind was still keen, his body just wouldn't cooperate. I miss him so very much and get a lump in my throat when I see his picture.
But Tiko knew how devastated we would be and I swear he helped bring another Akita into our lives the end of February. We were going to foster this boy for a few days. We wound up being Foster Failures! As we had plans to go away for a month, our boy was cared for by Akita Rescue Soc of Fl .
We made the adoption legal early April. Snowbear has claimed a part of our hearts also, and is the exact opposite of Tiko. So many different aspects of Akita personalities!
I hope to keep this blog updated and will try to post pictures of those Akitas that NEED love, help, adoption and a forever home.
